Speed matters

If you spilled something on your laptop or dropped it in water, turn it off immediately. Don't check if it still works. Don't restart it. Power off. Then call us.

What to do right now

1. Power off (hold the power button if needed)
2. Unplug everything
3. If you can — and it's safe — remove the battery
4. Tip it upside down so liquid drains rather than pooling on the motherboard
5. Do not try to dry it with a hair dryer (the heat damages components)
6. Do not turn it back on to "see if it works"
7. Call us — same-day on-site or fast drop-off

What we actually do

1. Disassemble the laptop within hours of the spill
2. Clean every affected component with proper electronics-grade alcohol
3. Treat corroded areas before they spread
4. Dry properly
5. Reassemble and test

Outcomes

• Water (clean): ~80% full recovery if seen within 24 hours
• Coffee / tea / soda: ~60% full recovery if seen within 24 hours (sugar accelerates corrosion)
• Beer / wine: ~50% (organic residue)
• Saltwater / pool water: ~30% (the worst — call within the hour)

Even when the laptop doesn't survive, your data almost always does. We can pull the drive and either put it in a new laptop or hand you the files.

What it costs

Liquid-damage cleanup: $199 flat to start. If we determine the laptop is gone, you only pay for data recovery to a new drive (separate flat fee), and we credit some of the diagnostic toward that.
